BlueEFFICIENCY for London Fashion Week

Named the official car of the event, Mercedes Benz announced that it will provide a fleet of BlueEFFICIENCY cars for the London Fashion week, for accredited journalists, VIPs, designers and celebrities to be transported to and from the catwalk shows.

As Vice Chair of London Fashion, Erin O’Connor will be provided with a Mercedes-Benz for the duration of the whole week.

However, the German carmaker is not associated only with the British event, as it is known as the official car of Fashion Weeks in Berlin, Miami, Mexico, Milan and Paris as well. In fact, it all started back in 1996 with the title sponsorship of the Australian Fashion Week in Sydney and Melbourne.

“Mercedes- Benz has always been synonymous with design and style and we’re delighted to be the official car of London Fashion Week,” said Andrew Roberts, Communications Director at Mercedes-Benz, in a statement for the press.

“It is great to be able to join up our international fashion partnerships and being involved with London means that Mercedes-Benz is now a partner of the four major fashion weeks – aligning the brand with the pinnacle of innovation in style,” Roberts added.

“We are delighted to welcome Mercedes-Benz as the Official Car of London Fashion Week. The brand has a strong reputation for dedication to the fashion industry on an international scale. The Mercedes-Benz Fleet will undoubtedly provide great support for London Fashion Week this season and for many to come,” added Caroline Rush, Joint Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council.
