BlueAnt S4 Voice Controlled Car Speaker Unveiled

A new product from BlueAnt is now ready to take over the market lead in its segment, as it is the first true hands-free, voice-controlled Bluetooth car speakerphone, as the manufacturer likes to say. The new S4 enables driver to communicate on the road, making and receiving calls using only their voice.

BlueAnt’s signature voice-activated technology previosuly featured on the Q1 headset is now available for vehicles so that the drivers don’t have to touch anything.

The company says the S4 can be activated by saying the trigger phrase "BlueAnt Speak to Me", while saying "Phone Commands" activates your phone's voice dialing feature. The device is also able to read out the caller’s name and all you have to do is say "Answer" or "Ignore".

Moreover, once the Vlingo SafeReader application is installed on your BlackBerry or Android 2.x smartphone, your incoming messages will be read out automatically as they come in. The BlueAnt S4 can store up to 2,000 phonebook entries from each paired mobile phone. Other features include Microsoft BING-411 and A2DP streaming audio functionality.

Luckily, if you by any chance forget the voice commands you can ask the S4 “What Can I Say?” and it will tell you the available options.

“Just by saying the words you can hear stock quotes, movie times, directions, weather forecasts, sports results, news and traffic updates,” BlueAnt brags on their website.

The company also announced the newly introduced product will be available starting May 23 at Best Buy and AT&T stores on June 6 for $99.99.
