Blue Carbon Bugatti Chiron Looks Like a Smooth Operator

Can you imagine the plethora of choices a Bugatti customer has to make when configuring a Chiron? Well, one of the best cards in the deck comes from the visible carbon exterior. And the 1,500 hp monster we have here perfectly portrays this.

The Chiron we're looking at comes with a Blue Carbon finish and this covers most of available real estate. Then again, we can still talk about a two-tone finish, since the lower side of the Molsheim animal comes in a darker finish, with this also involving the wheels.

The W16 contraption was spotted back in the summer by Los Angeles photog Cody Lewis and you'll be able to check out the result in the social media post at the bottom of the page.

Fortunately, the post also allows us to take a peek at the cabin of the quad-turbo beast. And this space seems to be shared between Black and the same kind of blue found on the brake calipers, while carbon fiber elements are obviously visible.

Now, let's take a bit of time to talk about the legend surrounding the said shade of blue, with this having recently been shared by car collector Kris Singh (you might know him as Lamborghiniks).

It is said that, back in the 1920s, Ettore Bugatti's daughter supervised the painting of all cars and that the original "Bugatti Blue" only received her seal of approval if this matched the blue gem adorning the label of her Gauloises cigarettes.

Returning to the spec of this Bugatti Chiron, the duality of the said body finish is probably what impresses the most: when admired from a distance, the hypercar looks like it simply packs a blue finish. However, the carbon becomes apparent upon closer inspection, thus amplifying the already-stellar wow factor of the machine.
