Blink-182’s Travis Barker Gets His Wraith Murdered-out

Travis Landon Barker, best known as the drummer of rock band Blink-182 has recently got his Rolls-Royce Wraith all personalized over at the Platinum Group auto shop. Considering the rocker’s love for classic Cadillacs, we’re wondering if he suddenly changed his mind about cars.

The 38-year old musician and producer is famous for his drumming along Blink-182, but he also preformed as a frequent collaborator with hip-hop artist, and with the alternative rock band +44, the rap rock group The Transplants and the alternative rock band Box Car Racer.

Barker is also a big Cadillac collector, being surrounded by a museum’s worth of vintage classic American cars. In fact, he even has the automative brand with a tattoo proudly etched on his chest.

We have no intention in listing all of his garage proud members, but let us just remind you a couple of them: 1953 Cadillac, 1954 Cadillac, 1966 Cadillac Coupe de Ville, 1967 Cadillac Eldorado and a 1970 Buick Riviera, will just make a start of that long assembly. Why Barker’s taste for old-school metal and his modifications, you ask? Well, according to Dub magazine, it’s because of the shape of the car.

The condition of it’s and old car... if I’m buying it. With the mods, it depends on what kind of car I’m messing with. I’m going to eventually get a ’61 Eldorado. I’d like a ’64 Riviera and I’d love ’55 Chevy... maybe a ’63 Impala and a ’53 convertible Bel Air,” Barker explained.

However, it would seem he suddenly found a new car model to love, and even though the Rolls-Royce Wraith keeps the classiness of the old school, is definitely not what you call the retro luxury car. Maybe this is why the drummer thought it would need a bit of face lift, so he got it all Black. Well, at the end of the day, it’s all about taste.
