The adventures of Captain Obvious and Redundancy Boy continue this week with yet another rare occasion when a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series is actually sporting a black color.
For some reason, about 98.74 percent of all Black Series Gullwings sold until now are anything but black in terms of exterior color, with all of their owners preferring every other shade of the color spectrum.
This is pretty much why we get so worked up whenever we spot at actual black SLS AMG Black Series, like the following US-spec example.
As hopefully most you know, the widest production SLS AMG is sporting the baddest incarnation of the legendary M159 engine.
No less than 631 hp and 635 Nm (468 lb ft) of torque are developed by the 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 which, along with much less weight and a hell of a lot more downforce can make the SLS AMG Black Series lap the Nurburgring Nordschleife in just 7:25 minutes.
