As Porschephiles know all too well, Zuffenhausen's optional extra list is one of the deepest in the world. For instance, when configuring a 911 GT3 RS, one has tons and tons of goodies to choose from, whether we're talking "normal" options or CCX fetishes. As such, you would imagine that this means owners of the Rennsport Neunelfer steer clear of the aftermarket path. Well, you'd be wrong.
In fact, we've brought along a 991.2-generation 911 GT3 RS that has been gifted with a set of custom shoes. The 520 hp toy now sits on HRE Wheels.
And the color scheme we have here is the kind that makes the car stand out from a distance. The wheels come in a striking shade of red, while the car features an all-black approach - note that the Weissach Package is missing, so there's no exposed carbon on the top surfaces of the beast.
Note that the machine we have here is owned by Graham Rahal Racing, with the US racing driver's crew bringing together multiple Neunelfers (here's an Amethyst Metallic GT2 RS).
Speaking of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, we'll remind you that the rendering realm has already allowed us to talk about the 992 incarnation of the machine. Sure, this won't land until 2020 or 2021, but things went crazy on the Internet after the new 911 was launched in Los Angeles.
We'll remind you that 992-generation GT3 prototypes have confirmed that the naturally aspirated flat-six is here to stay (their soundtrack delivered this detail).
As such, we're expecting the same to be true for the new 911 GT3 RS. Then again, while the GT3 testers have been spotted with manual trannies (these will be offered alongside the PDK), the Rennsport model will only arrive in two-pedal form.
And since the eight generation of the 911 has brought an eight-ratio PDK, we can't wait to see the GT3 RS implementation.
