Birdman’s Maybach Landaulet Is in for Repairs: Planning to Sell?

Maybach cars died in 2013. Then, Mercedes revived the brand and announced the first model built under the newly developed branch, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. Meanwhile, in the world of opulence ruled by rich rappers, people like Birdman still brag with the company’s rarest and probably most expensive car: the Landaulet. So now we’re wondering whether he’s planning to sell it.

The Young Money Cash Money Billionaires (YMCMB) boss just took his luxury sedan to the shop. Car enthusiast Jason Thorgalsen spotted Birdman’s car over at Lauderdale, Florida-based Mercedes-Benz dealer the other day and now we’re wondering whether the car is broken or the rapper is planning to sell it.

You see, every time there’s something new hitting the market, rappers are usually among the first in line to buy it. And most of the times it doesn’t even matter if it’s worth it or not.

The Maybach 62 Landaulet is based on the Maybach 62S and was designed as a revival of the classic landaulet car body style, which was popular in the 1920s and 30s. The vehicle was designed with a 612 horsepower biturbo V12 engine, but what makes it so popular is in fact the way it’s divided.

The Landaulet’s front seats are fully enclosed and separated from the rear passenger compartment by a power divider window, which can be controlled electronically. Moreover, a sliding soft roof allows back seat passengers to take in the sun from the comfort of their seats. The driver’s area is finished in black leather, while the rear is white with piano black and gold-flecked black granite inserts.

With just a few ever produced the 1.5-million car is known to be extremely rare and was meant to be a limo for those with extremely deep pockets.
