BikeSpike, We Need It for Motorcycles, Too

BikeSpikeBikeSpike
We're looking forward to see the BikeSpike security system available in stores, as its public funding tier on KickStarter was reached, and this means the guys should already be in business. BikeSpike is a GPS tracker system, designed for bicycles, but given its functionality and ease of use, we'd really like to see it in a motorcycle flavor, too.
The principle is extremely simple: the BikeSpike acts like a GPS beacon and you can track it using your smartphone or computer. In care you're exiting the supermarket and notice that your bike is gone, take out your Android or Apple phone, start the dedicated racking app and you'll immediately receive its location data.

The BikeSpike bicycle version is cleverly hidden in a good-looking carbon fiber water bottle holder and once it's charged it will operate up to one month. This device can also send alerts to your email, and several friends can also receive alerts when your bike is stolen. The built-in accelerometer can also tell if you have a crash and alert the selected contacts.

With an open-source API, the BikeSpike is sure to receive many improvements from the software developers community and really, we want one for motorcycles!
