Honestly, I have no idea on what is going on in this video. Thing looks so dumb that I’d almost be tempted to believe this was the actual outcome these fellows had been looking for. I mean, a head-on impact between two bikes is one thing which is hard to get to, mostly because bikes are much narrower than, say, cars… or is it?
The description attached to this video doesn’t provide too much info, and if we were to believe it, the whole thing was caused by a beginner who collided with another stunt rider in a parking lot. Now, this might be true, but things are still weird.
I’ve lost count of how many times I said things like “stunt riding is a dangerous business itself, and being (with) stupid only makes everything tenfold worse”. However, it looks like in certain aspects of life, some things will never change.
It’s very hard to tell why people gathering for practicing stunt tricks are sometimes so mindless that they leave certain things unattended. And I am thinking about precise rules such as in which direction certain tricks are performed, the cues (who comes in and who goes out, when, where and in which way), or the access of other bikes on the premises.
I might even think that these two unfortunate riders have not come to their terms as to what right or left meant. Anyway, I can only hope nobody got serious injuries. As for the bikes, they’re definitely toast, while the riders should be happy for narrowly missed joining the pyre, as well.
