Described as the new flagship e-gravel bike, Bianchi’s recently launched e-Arcadex is designed for the explorer in you, being engineered to gracefully handle both the pavement and unpaved roads.
We first heard of Arcadex last year, when the Italian bike manufacturer introduced its first carbon gravel bike. The 2021 Arcadex shares the Bianchi racing DNA and is almost perfect, boasting a perfect gravel geometry, a responsive and aesthetically pleasing carbon fiber frame, and an aerodynamic design. All that’s missing with the original Arcadex is an electric drivetrain, a problem that Bianchi solved with the all-new e-Arcadex.

Also available in a touring version, the e-Arcadex gravel bike can be bought in three color schemes: Glacial, Forest, and Desert. There are five sizes to choose from: XS, S, M, L, and XL.

Designed to deliver maximum stability and a comfortable ride regardless of the terrain, the new e-Arcadex offers a tire clearance of up to 700 x 45 mm in width. You’ve also got a dropper seat post with 80 mm of travel (in addition to the 40 mm of integrated suspension) and a comfy Velomann saddle.

The e-bike features a full carbon frame with eyelets that allow you to add various accessories you might need, such as fenders, racks, and more. If you opt for the e-Arcadex Tourer, you get mudguards and luggage racks as standard.

Bianchi’s e-Arcadex packs a 250W Bosch Performance Line CX motor with 85 Nm of torque and a 500Wh Bosch battery that claims to offer a range of up to 115 km (71 miles) on a charge. Four hours are necessary to get the battery back to 100 percent full.

As you would expect with a brand backed by 130 years of experience in the bike manufacturing game, the e-Arcadex is not for every wallet. The bike has a starting price of €5,349 (approximately $5,400) for the Tourer version, with the other version going for €6,249 (around $6,300).
