The BMW i8 Spyder, the Ford Atlas pickup truck, and the Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis have been awarded with the 2013 Concept Vehicle of Year title in three different categories.
BMW's i8 Spyder, which made its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show, was named best production preview vehicle, while the Ford Atlas pickup, shown in Detroit, believed to be a preview for the next-gen F-150, was voted best concept truck. Last but not least, Hyundai's HCD-14 Genesis, also introduced at the Detroit Auto Show, was awarded with the best concept car trophy.
The three vehicles were chosen among concept cars that made their North American debuts at the Detroit, Los Angeles, New York and Chicago auto show. More than two dozen automotive journalists voted on the awards.
