Bertone Concepts for Sale at Villa d'Este

On May 21, car lovers with a soft spot for one-offs and enough money to indulge themselves from time to time with such a vehicle will have the chance to get their hands on not one, nor two, but six cars from the official collection of Carrozzeria Bertone. And we're not talking any cars.

The models to be sold at the auction which will be held by RM Auctions at Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este are for sale for the first time in history. The models, exclusive as they are, also pack a legacy which the sellers hope will see the hammer fall for a big pile of greens.

The cars in the collection, selected purposely for the occasion, are the following:

  • 1967 Lamborghini Marzal prototype, serial number 1001, driven by Prince Ranier and Princess Grace at the start of 1967 Monaco Grand Prix – price EUR1,000,000 – EUR1,800,000
  • 1970 Lancia Stratos HF Zero, serial number C/1160CPL - price EUR1,000,000 – EUR1,800,000
  • 1963 Chevrolet Testudo, serial number 20927w207657 – price EUR500.000 - EUR800.000
  • 1974 Lamborghini Bravo, serial number NS46 01 – price EUR150.000 - EUR220.000
  • 1980 Lamborghini Athon, serial number S155/01 – price EUR150.000 - EUR220.000
  • 1978 Lancia Sibilo, serial number S 12201 - EUR60.000 – EUR100.000

"These cars represent a highly significant slice of Bertone's creative history, as well as a unique opportunity to purchase some of the best known and most influential dream cars ever built,” said Max Girardo, RM Europe managing director.

“This coupled with the fact that the upcoming auction represents the very first time that any of these six vehicles have been offered for sale on the public market, makes for a unique and very special ownership opportunity. We anticipate that they will be well received by the collector car world."
