Its only real rival will be the Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, a car which we way it will beat in terms of style, as the Roller does look a bit bulky from some angles, whereas the convertible Bentley looks really stylish. However, recent rumors now suggest that the firm’s famed low-revving V8 engine will be dropped in favour of much more efficient alternatives (diesel/hybrid).

While this last piece of information may anger ‘the purists’, like we’ve already said about Rolls Royce, a big, torquey and refined diesel engine would be an excellent choice for a big luxury car, as it offers lots of torque which is key when it comes to offering the sensation of effortless cruising which is what luxury car buyers are looking for.
