Bentley's Most Powerful Convertible Goes Live in Australia

Bentley today rolled out the Continental GTC Speed, the company's most powerful convertible, in Australia, with sales expected to begin in the next weeks. Inspired by Bentley's "Speed Models" launch during the '20s, the GTC comes with several exclusive and high-end features, starting with the lightweight, fade-resistant carbon-ceramic brakes and ending with the impressive array of luxurious features in the interior.

The Bentley GTC has been fitted with a 6.0-liter W12 twin-turbocharged engine that develops 600 horsepower and a maximum speed of 200 mph (322 km/h) with the roof up and 195 mph (312 km/h) with the roof down. It jumps from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and 160 km/h in 10.5 seconds.

Other features include 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, Bentley-bespoke Pirelli PZero ultra-high performance (UHP) tires, lowered and uprated suspension, wider twin-rifled exhaust tail pipes and a new boot-mounted lip spoiler and a new radiator grille.

“The Continental GTC is an elegant Grand Touring convertible in the Bentley tradition, exciting the emotions with its distinctive blend of performance, luxury, craftsmanship and modernity. The GTC Speed completes the family of Continental Speed models and broadens the appeal of the GTC to customers who demand a more focused, open-top driving experience," Bentley Chairman and Chief Executive, Dr. Franz-Josef Paefgen, stated.

The new GTC will be offered to Australians in two new exterior paints and a new color hide. Prices are yet to be released but, because we're talking about a Bentley, if you have to ask how much they cost, you can't afford then.
