The British luxury carmaker has announced today the opening of its first ever mountain lodge in Kitzbuhel, Austria. At first, we thought it may be a new concept store located in a remote area where VIP customers could check special models. Well, believe it or not, it means exactly what you think it does: Bentley is opening its first accommodation house in the mountains.
Why did they open this thing? Well, according to the company, this new concept of living the Bentley essence in Europe opens its doors for the first time to welcome the European dealers and a selected group of VIPs and residents. You see, the term VIP remains valid, only that there won’t be any vehicles on showcase, just one of the newest models at the disposal of those who stay there.

Since we’re not looking to be mean, we should also mention a couple of details that make this house special. First of all, the location seems to be unique with the house being surrounded by breathtaking peaks and valleys. The full-serviced and luxuriously furnished chalet offers an unrivaled hideaway amid Kitzbuhel.

The Bentley Lodge is inspired by the techniques, the materials, and the finishes that characterize Bentley cars’ interiors. According to the company, the designers and architects combined regional, traditional and modernist designs and materials, injecting a little of the spirit of the British gentleman driver.

There’s another noteworthy detail, and it relates to the building itself, which apparently was originally the forester’s lodge and dates back to 1919. This also is the year Bentley Motors was founded. Here’s more about the facility:

It is available to book for customers and friends of the brand, being an ideal spot for private celebrations and especially during international events such as the Hahnenkammrace, the Alpenrallye, the ATP Tennis Tournament and many more. The Bentley Lodge is located right at the foot of the famous Ski-Downhill Race, the Hahnenkammrennen at the ‘Streif’ and only 500 meters away from the Kitzbühel City Centre.”
