Naming a car or a trim level after an animal is not a novelty in the auto industry, with the first such model coming up in our minds right now being Porsche's Cayman. But Bentley seems to like the idea, and here we are, telling you about the Flying Spur Beluga Specification.

Bentley says the new trim level can grant "the Flying Spur sedan a more athletic stance and purposeful visual appeal". But we like to call it how we see it. Therefore, here's what this version is all about.

First of all, the Flying Spur sits on a new set of wheels, namely four 20-inch Black and Bright alloy rims. The cosmetic change also includes a gloss black radiator matrix and a body-coloured lower grille bar.

Step inside and you'll be greeted by piano black veneer inserts, knurled gear shift paddles and contrast stitching for the seats and steering wheel.

Also, customers can request the Mulliner Driving Specification in combo with the Beluga pack, and those who do that receive the 21-inch 6-spoke Extrovert wheels. Other than that, the Mulliner option can separately offer a knurled gear lever, drilled alloy pedals and an indented hide headlining.

Under the hood you'll find the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 powerplant and its 507 PS (500 bhp) arsenal, allowing the Flying Spur to sprint from 0-60 mph (96 km/h) in just 4.9 seconds (0-100km/h or 92 mph in 5.2 seconds). There's no word on pricing so far, but expect a hefty price tag for the Beluga trim.
