We normally say that 20 inches is about the biggest you should go, even on a big car like a Range Rover or an Escalade. Any bigger than that and you risk upsetting the turing circle, the traction or the ride. There’s a reason why F1 cars and rally cars don’t use huge wheels with tiny bit of tire!
But when you’re talking about luxury, bigger still is better. It’s like when in medieval times, when you got shoes with really long and pointy tips to show how well off you were.
This interesting-looking machine is no ordinary coupe, it’s the Bentley Continental GT Speed, an to our knowledge, this is the first time anything has been done with it. The guys at SR Auto decided that what it needed was a set of huge 22-inch PUR 7EVEN monoblock wheels.
These offer a machined face with small windows painted black to accentuate the multi-spoke design. “The twenty-two inch wheels sit just millimeters away from the fender arches, but through precise engineering and calculations the fenders will never come in contact with the tires. That right there is the true art of wheel fitment,” the customizer says.
