Bentley Expands Retail Network in Texas

Running a business in this unstable economic environment is a very hard thing to do, especially if you are an automotive industry player. For the luxury car manufacturers, this is even more so. Yet, no one can expect the industry to come out of its struggle if all the companies' plans are cancelled or postponed.

Bentley Motors is making a bold move and continues the expansion of its retail network with the appointment of Bentley Austin in the Texas hill country. The new retailer will be owned and operated by John Eagle Dealerships and it will be the 47th Bentley location in North America.

“We are pleased to welcome John Eagle Dealerships to the Bentley family. Our expansion into the Austin market reflects this region’s increasing influence with high net-worth individuals and we are excited to offer these consumers the ultimate expression of British motoring excellence,” Christophe Georges, Bentley President and Chief Operating Officer said in a release.

In addition, Sonny Morgan has been named Retailer Principal for Bentley Austin and he will have responsibility for the development and execution of the newcomer in the Bentley franchise. Morgan has an overoptimistic view on the problem, as he confidently says "the demand for ultra-luxury goods in this region has exploded in the last several years and I expect Texans to fully appreciate the craftsmanship, quality and performance that Bentley automobiles have to offer.”

Bentley Austin will open for business in early April and will be located on Research Boulevard, north of Austin. Bentley also plans to built an all-new sales and service facility in the near future.

Bentley US rose from a network of 41 locations in 2004 to 47 with the appointment of Bentley Austin, Calgary, Alberta, Naples, Minneapolis, Honolulu, Salt Lake City.
