Bentley EXP 9 F SUV Concept at Pebble Beach

To the sound of classical music, and the flash of camera, Bentley’s SUV concept, the EXP 9 F made its North American debut at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance 2012, where Brian Zuk recorded this video.
We’ve seen this controversial SUV concept before, at the Geneva Motor Show at the beginning of the year, where we said the car definitely needs a makeover. This has yet to happen, but it’s still a pleasure to hear the W12 engine roar into action.

The whole idea behind this SUV strikes us as an exaggerated Range Rover. The overhangs and the overall shape are the same, and it’s just the level of luxury that changes. What’s more, the huge 24-inch wheels are very much an understatement.

Even though the concept shown at Pebble Beach had a 6.0-liter W12 engine, which develops 600bhp and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque, the new 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo will also be available with 500 bhp.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
