Bentley’s officials have all the reasons to be happy as the British company closed the previous year with 10,100 delivered cars, ensuring its third year above the 10,000 vehicles mark, a double-digit growth in Europe and strong performance in the UK and North America.
The carmaker registered record sales in South Korea, Japan and the Middle East, and increased its presence around the world to 58 markets, with 203 retail partners.

Wolfgang Durheimer, Bentley’s Chairman and CEO, stated that “The positive Bentley Motors Performance last year was supported by increases across key sales regions and was driven by our continued commitment to invest - in our products, in our people and in our network. We have worked hard to build a sustainable platform to enable long-term growth, and this will help deliver a strong 2016, with the all-new Bentayga playing an important role, with first deliveries imminent. We also have exciting plans ahead as we look to introduce future models, allowing more customers around the world to experience Bentley’s unique combination of luxury and performance.

Although in Europe sales were up by 10%, with 1,695 cars delivered, North America remains the number one customer region, closing the year with 2,864 cars sold, even if the figures are slightly down compared to 2014.

In its home market, Bentley managed to deliver 1,457 vehicles, almost 100 more than last year, making the UK the second highest selling market.

The sales in the Middle East grew to 1,274 cars, up by eleven compared to 2014, mostly thanks to the introduction of the Continental GT V8 S.

China was a sensible market for the British automaker as well, as the challenging sales conditions from the automotive sector influenced the figures. Bentley delivered 1,615 in the Celestial Empire, almost a thousand less than in 2014.

The Asia Pacific region delivered 455 cars and Japan saw a 15 percent growth after delivering 353 units. Finally, following the introduction of the Flying Spur V8, South Korea delivered 387 cars, 20 percent more than in the previous year.
