Bentley Continental GT3-R Priced at $337,000, U.S. Sales Limited to 99 Units

Back in June, Bentley revealed its fastest-accelerating car ever, the Bentley Continental GT3-R, and while all of the juicy details were revealed, it waited until the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance to announce U.S. specific information. When the Continental GT3-R hits dealers early next year, it will have a limited run of just 99 units along with a starting price of $337,000.

Inspired by Bentley’s Continental GT3 racecar, the street-legal Continental GT3-R received a host of upgrades including more power from the engine, a reduced curb weight and shorter gearing. For the engine, the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 now produces 572 hp (kW) and 516 lb-ft (Nm) of torque, which are gains of 51 hp and 14 lb-ft over the standard Continental GT V-8 S.

On top of the engine, Bentley has also managed to remove 220 pounds from this model’s curb weight. As you’d expect, this results in some blistering performance with Bentley claiming the car can run from 0-60 mph in just 3.6 seconds.

In terms of functional performance, the Continental GT3-R will be easy to spot with its vented hood, front splitter and the fixed rear wing. Styling upgrades also include black 21-inch lightweight wheels, black headlights and green graphics along the side of the car’s body that stand out against the Glacier White paint job to accentuate the Continental’s signature body lines.

Globally, production of the Bentley Continental GT3-R will be limited to just 300 units, which makes it more impressive that almost a third will be earmarked for the U.S., while another four being planned for Canadian buyers (although Canadian pricing has not been announced).

“Pebble Beach is the perfect location for the debut of the rarest and most dynamic Continental GT, the GT3-R. It is a testament to the Bentley trademarks of luxury and performance and we’re excited to share it with the friends of Bentley during this gathering of fine automobiles,” said Christophe Georges, president and CEO of Bentley Motors.
