A Ferrari 599 covered in black velvet made headlines around the world this summer, as lots of news desks picked up on the idea of a cute supercar. That sparked a small flame in the car wrapping world, and some companies took to the idea like fish to water.
We saw them going even as far as using pink velvet Audi A1. Of course, velvet wrapping is in its infancy as a technology, since the vinyl gets harder to apply as it thickens.
Impressive Wraps, a company from Hong Kong, just did one of its first velvet wraps on a car that we'd consider risky, Bentley's Continental GT coupe. Blue velvet was chosen for the doors, bumpers and wings and contrasting silver brushed metallic was applied to the grille, bonnet, pillars and roof.
The one-two combo is a knockout in the looks department and we're eagerly anticipating more photos or a video of this rare tuning project.
