An iconic bike and true cafe-racer benchmark, the Triumph Thruxton is one bike that's hard to mistake for anything else. However, when it comes to adding massive one-off bespoke looks to the Thrux, few can do things more spectacular than Benjie's Cafe Racers (BRC).
It may be had to believe that the frame, motor and geometry of this bike are stock, but that's the truth: BCR wanted to show off their fabrication skills and by all means, this new steampunk machine is simply awesome.

The fork was replaced with a 2000 CBR1000RR one, with the Honda brakes left in place. However,a 40-hole Harley hub was needed to fit into the wheel, with a custom made axle and spacers for the dual-rotor setup.

Harley-Davidson also provided the gauge, and it was loaded in an aluminium dash with stock Triumph lights. The front fairing is obviously handmade, and the off-set yellow headlight and air vent look smashing. And since the vent helps cooling the rectifier, we're talking function AND form here.

The front fender is painted fiberglass, and the stainless steel clip-ons are custom-made, too. The bespoke tank retains the streamlined design, but comes with a stunning gas cap and and awesome scalloped lines.

Integrating the custom seat was far easier than finding the matching shape for the rear cowl. It follows the lines of the front one, and the tapered profile of the seat. The split underside with the tail light sticking out left us speechless. The solution was adopted to provide room for the beefier rear tire.

Finally, the exhausts could not be left untouched, so they got re-routed, with a narrower mid-section and the same drilled pattern on the generous heat shields. Taking a closer look at the BCR Steampunk Racer and all the massive drilling work it shows, e guess several pound were shaved off by this operation alone.

And with even the key steampunked, it's hard to describe how cool this Racer is...
