The Italian motorcycle brand is maybe the oldest of all European motorcycle factories in operation, older even than Moto Guzzi, who was established a decade later. Though not many are familiar with Benelli’s history and machines, the brand has celebrated its 100th year anniversary last year, and the special edition TnT Century Racer models are now available to mark the occasion.

The special edition TnT 899 and TnT 1130 designed to celebrate the centenary sport a number of changes as compared to the regular versions, and are priced at EUR10,900 and EUR12,900 respectively.

Both Century Racers are fitted with Benelli’s three-cylinder engines, producing 120 horsepower at 9,500 rpm in the case of the TnT 899 and 129 horsepower at 8,500 rpm for the TnT 1130.

A six-speed gearbox, high-spec suspension components from Marzocchi and Sachs, Brembo brakes with radial-mount calipers and special touches like Alcantara seats and a special paint job inspired by Renzo Pasolini’s Benelli racebikes of the 1960s, are also features that apply to both variants.

Then, in the case of the 899cc version, there is a new up-side down Marzocchi fork with 50 mm in diameter, which provides stability and effectiveness of the excursion 120 mm front suspension. There are also Brembo radial calipers and Braking wave discs of 320 mm diameter front and 240 mm rear.

On the other hand, the 1130cc model comes with a revised chassis as the engine mapping, fully adjustable spring preload and hydraulic compression and rebound. A fully adjustable ZF Sachs shock absorber is also included. Power was raised to 129 hp at 8500 rpm and maximum torque of 110 Nm at 5250 rpm.
