Ben Stiller Chose Audi Q7

He acts, he writes, he directs, he produces... Ben Stiller, the star actor from comedy movies like ‘A Night at the Museum’, ‘Meet the Fockers’ and ‘Tropic Thunder’, has one thing in common with Nikki Reed and Nicole Kidman: an Audi Q7.

According to Celebrity Cars Blog, the actor was recently spotted driving his new black luxury SUV he probably set his eyes on since last year, at the premiere of ‘Iron Man’. It was in Audi R8’s, Audi Q7 SUV’s and A8L sedans that celebrities arrived at the event that evening, and Ben Stiller was one of them. That was Audi’s way to celebrate the use of Audi vehicles in the movie.

If you ask us, it took Ben Stiller quite a long time to decide upon the SUV, since the ‘Iron Man’ premiere took place exactly one year ago, on April 30, 2008. We don’t think it was a money problem, since his 2007 earnings were estimated by Forbes Magazine to $38 million.

The Q7 is equipped with a 'quattro' permanent all-wheel-drive system and FSI-developed engine units - 350-hp 4.2L V8 and 280-hp 3.6L V6. Despite its design as a a full-size luxury sport utility vehicle, the lack of a low-range transfer case made the Audi Q7 more suited for on-road use. Adjustable air suspension and a central differential lock were also important off-road-oriented features on the Q7.

The 'Q' designation on Audi's new model range was subject to a lawsuit intended by Nissan to the German manufacturer, as its Infiniti marque had also been using the letter 'Q' for both sedans and SUVs since the late 80s. The two company reached an agreement later in 2006.
