Here’s a new killer-looks limited edition Bell helmet proudly bearing the signature of Airtrix founder Chris Wood: the 2014 Circuit of the Americas Star Carbon lid, available for purchase until April 13.
Adorned with the red, white and blue flag motif, the Circuit of the Americas Bell Star Carbon is as full-fledged piece of protective gear, but at the same time, it also makes a nifty collector’s item. The intricate design also sports a floorboard-pattern, as homage to the iconic Western saloons, and is also crowned with a Longhorn cattle skull and the Texas map. A horseshoe and the Red Bull Circuit of the Americas insignia are also present.
On the tech side, this helmet is ready for street or track use. For the shell Bell uses the proprietary carbon/Kevlar/fiberglass Trimatrix Composite, with the patented Velocity Flow Ventilation with FlowAdjust system for maximum comfort and temperature control.
The lid also sports a new head form based on the highly-popular RS-1 and offer superior fit and comfort, with silver-lined anti-microbial liner, and pretty much all the features and technologies one expects to meet in a Bell Star Carbon helmet.
Bell specifies that the Circuit of the Americas Limited Edition Helmet is only available for pre-order until April 13, with shipping beginning April 25, 2014. The lid is available in sizes S through XXL, for $699.95 (€504). The Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas MotoGP round will take place in Austin April 11-13.
