Being Overtaken by a Spinning Porsche 911 Is Downright Scary

Anybody who’s been overtaken on a track knows how unpleasant the feeling is, but we are here to show you one of the scariest passing manoeuvres we’ve seen in quite a while. Unsurprisingly, the feat takes place on the Nurburgring, where a Porsche 911 overtakes a Megabusa while... spinning.
The Megabusa (we’ll get to the details of this track toy in a minute) driver and his female passenger were Green Hell-ing along joyfully when, on the left side, the... multi-tasking 911 shows up.The guy behind the wheel of the Megabusa had a proper reaction, managing to avoid what looked like an impact waiting to happen.

Alas, the rear-engined coupe wasn’t as lucky - the 911, a rear-wheel drive model (as you can tell by the behaviour of the front wheels), hit the barrier and recoiled, skidding across the track to the other side. When the 911 hit the protection element, its front apron skirt jumped towards the other car, but, fortunately, nothing serious followed.

The Megabusa didn’t stop to see what happened and this is where the opinions are split. You can see the woman signalling the Megabusa driver to continue the lap, with the man definitely sharing the opinion.

Some say the Porsche accident would have required such a move, while others point out the impact didn’t look all that severe and that stopping could’ve caused another crash - cars coming from behind could’ve hit the Megabusa, even if this had been pulled over on the grass.

As for the vehicle itself, this is a creation coming from the Brits over at Westfield. The Lotus Seven chassis is married to a Suzuki Hayabusa engine, with the 1.3-liter unit working with a six-speed sequential gearbox. By the way, in many European countries, this toy is also road legal.
