Bees Nesting In Subaru WRX STI Intercooler Are... Not Cool

We’re looking at the pictures above and imagining a conversation between the queen bee and the hive’s chief engineer. Both must’ve found the Subaru intercooler as the perfect location for a new hive and they apparently understood the Japanese engineering on the spot.
It doesn’t take a college degree to notice intercoolers make great beehive frames and, as it turns out, the super-functional air intake of this Subaru took things even further. Come to think of it, the horizontally-opposed cylinders of this Scooby engine probably wouldn't be all tha bad either. By the looks of that intercooler, we are dealing with a WRX STI here, so this is one sweet ride.

Of course, finding you car like this isn’t exactly cool, even if you don’t happen to own one of these rally-bread athletic sedans. Despite this, you musn’t rush to kill the insects. These appear to be honeybees, which are extremely important to our diet.

Jokes aside, this is a very serious matter

Should your car be taken over by bees, it’s best to seek professional assistance in order to have them relocated. While you were out perhaps enjoying a drive, the folks over the US Department of Agriculture put together a study that shows the important of the honeybees.

It looks like these insects polinate 80 percent of the flowering crops, which makes them responsible for a third of our general food supply. And if you’re only thinking about sutff like strawberries, nuts or apples think again. The nature of the food chain means that, without these little friends, the meat and diary industry would be affected.

Our say: we’ve driven Subarus with a... sting before, but this is ridiculous.
