Become a 2013 Isle of Man TT Marshal

The organizers of the 2013 Isle of Man Tourist Trophy have announced open registrations for those who want to be a part of the world's toughest road racing event. The IOM TT Marshals' Association is not accepting volunteers, and the online registration form can be accessed using this link.

The IOMTTMA was founded back in 1962 and has more than 4,000 registered marshals. No less than 1,750 were needed during the 2012 IOM TT and 1,350 marshals have been present at the Manx Grand Prix Festival.

The Chairman of the IOMTTMA, Terry Holmes declares that even if so far around 300 new marshals have registered with the new system, their ranks are far from enough. Holmes adds that more than 1,200 marshals are usually needed at any time on the circuit and a minimum of 500 are required before any practice or race are allowed to take place.

The marshals are positioned all around the Mountain Course, and they must provide a complete line of sight across the 37.7 miles-long circuit (60.65 km). Registration here.
