If you’ve ever wondered how rock stars like to travel, then now is the time to read up as we’ve found the most affordable super star motorhome around. But still, it’s not as cheap as you might think.
What we have before us folks is known as the Bay Star Sport motorhome, from none other than luxury motorcoach manufacturer Newmar. Never heard of this team? Seeing as how we’ve featured their works here before, it’s very possible you just don’t recall the manufacturer.

Just a quick get-to-know-you for this crew; they’ve been around since 1968. That 50 plus years of experience hides some of the most luxurious and expensive vehicles I've run across so far. They even have one at over a $1,000,000. Don't worry, you’ll get to meet it soon.

For now, let’s keep our heads on our shoulders and look at something reasonably accessible from this team. This is where the Bay Star Sport comes in. Just so you understand how Newmar likes to do things, note that this is the least expensive model from their lineup and it still comes in with an outrageous $133,322 starting price. Don’t get me wrong, all that cash is worth every inch of this wonder.

Like most other road-worthy homes of this standard, the Sport too comes with a wide range of floorplans to choose from. But, no matter which of the eight floorplans you choose, they all are built upon a Ford F-53 Class A Motorhome Chassis. If you were unaware that Ford also builds motorhome-worthy vehicles, the Sport is a testament as to what is possible.

To make sure you’re going to get to where you need to go, a 7.3-liter V8 engine with 350 hp and 468 lb-ft of torque will make sure you make it to your next destination. The only thing that differs between floorplans is the wheelbase, and the 3315 model has a larger GVWR than the rest, 22,000 lbs (9979 kg). All other vehicles weigh in with a GVWR of 20,500 lbs (9298 kg).

Now, to really get a good feel for what you can expect from this home-away-from-home, do check out the gallery if you haven’t done so already. It’s true that a picture is worth a thousand words, and I wouldn’t be the first to try and change that.

I won’t be going into any detail about systems such as electrical, plumbing, or heating and cooling. Why? Because for this sort of cash, you can expect everything is there to make your trip as pleasurable as possible and up to the 133k price tag standard.

What I am going to be talking about, however, is the leather seating, polished solid surface countertops, the glazed maple cabinets, plenty of storage space, slide-outs, and of course amenities. You’ve already picked up an idea of what we’re to expect just from that last sentence. For the kitchen, a 3-burner range with oven, microwave, and residential-sized fridge are available. But you can also have a four-door fridge with ice maker as an option.

For restroom features, we find a decked-out bathroom as large as my own, ready with a Dometic toilet, ABS shower surround, and even a system monitor panel making sure everything works at optimum levels.

Keeping everyone nice and rested, we find a queen-sized mattress standard for the bedroom, while an option with a king exists as well. All floorplans also include a folding couch that acts as an alternative sleeping space. As we also noticed in the images, it seems that the dinette too acts as another sleeping area. Oh, and there’s an overhead cab bunk we can see as well.

Personally, I don’t see what else we can think of that we could ask for in the Sport. It has everything from bathroom facilities to entertainment center and whatever else you can think of in between, except for maybe a stripper pole. If you too want to be part of the Newmar family but don’t have a million dollars, click here and see if you and this vehicle match vibrations.
