I don’t know about you, but for me a life without music wouldn’t be worth living. Therefore, my car has to have the best audio system possible for the best money. Sure, Bang & Olufsen systems are some of the best you can buy on a BMW but not everyone can afford them.
Introducing Bavsound. The guys claim that with their $799 speaker upgrade for the F30 3 Series, you’ll get better sound inside your car within minutes, being really easy to install.
Their system uses speakers that have a wider range of bass and treble than the usual BMW speakers (not Harman Kardon or B&O) thanks to ‘coated natural fiber drivers’ and ‘silk tweeters’ that are supposed to remain distortion free at higher volumes and provide better overall sound.
Now, from what I understand, their package replaces the original speakers with their own, using some pretty neat plug-and-play install. However, the head unit remains the same and, most of the time, that’s the problem when it comes to low-end BMW systems.
Either way, it’s worth a look if you’re not satisfied with the way the music sounds like in your F30 3er. However, the thing is... The HK system is just $75 more when buying a new car. Therefore, it’s not worth your trouble in this instance. But how about second-hand vehicles or what if you change your mind later on? Then, it starts to really make sense.
