Bavaria Yachtbau, BMW Present Deep Blue 46, High Performance Motorboat

BMW Group DesignworksUSA and Bavaria Yachtbau GmbH, a leading yacht manufacturer in Europe, today announced their first motorboat resulting from the collaboration: the Deep Blue 46 which will be displayed at the Dusseldorf Boat Show. According to a press statement, the two companies combined traditional boat design with dynamic lines and obtained an innovative concept.

One of the main attributes of the motorboat is the huge space it provides through the cabin and deck.

“With a performance-oriented helm stand, a central seating arrangement in the main lounge area, an additional wind-protected reclining area next to the helmsman, the spacious bathing platform and the front sundeck with room for at least three people, the Deep Blue 46 offers maximum, functional space well arranged and clearly structured,” the companies mentioned in a press statement.

The yacht has a width of 4.5 meters plus enough space to store a dinghy, as the manufacturers proudly said in a statement. The central cockpit has enough room for an optional bar “featuring a built-in foldable grill element and enough space to store all that is needed for an enjoyable BBQ, including drinks,” they said.

"With the new Deep Blue product line we have opened a new era for BAVARIA with products that fit the future with premium design whilst keeping a customer-oriented price position. Consequently Bavaria will present itself with a new and sharpened profile in the boat market", says Laurenz Schaffer, director of the Munich studio of BMW Group DesignworksUSA.

DesignworksUSA is a company founded in 1972 and purchased by BMW AG in 1995. The first yacht of the alliance, the luxurious Zeydon Z60, was officially launched last year.
