Battle of the Titans: 1,100 HP Viper vs. 1,100 HP Ford GT

The musclecar industry isn’t what it used to be, but we must agree that good ol’ America created some impressive machines the past 20 years. It’s hard to pick a favorite out of the bunch, but we can name two of the fast and powerful vehicles that made motorheads happy: the Dodge/SRT Viper and the Ford GT.

Stuffed with big engines and powered by more than 500 HP, both the Viper and the Ford GT can return great quarter mile times in stock form. And once they’re altered by aftermarket specialists, these badass cars can achieve outstanding 9-second times on the drag strip.

But how do we know which one is better? And furthermore, how can we pair two examples with the exact amount of power? Well, that’s what we mortals call the tricky part. But not to worry, thanks to Texas Speed Syndicate we were able to find out that someone already did it and even provide you video footage from the race.

And we’re not talking about stock versions of the aforementioned cars, but beefed up turbocharged iterations with 1,100 HP each! But enough with the talk, scroll below to see these monsters battle for drag strip supremacy.
