Among the exotic supercars that will race at this year’s special 15th anniversary Gumball 3000 Rally, you will see a replica of the Tumbler car used in the last Batman movie.
Team Galag have had it wit all those luxuriant hypercars and since the Gumball Rally celebrates its 15th birthday, they wanted to come with something unique, something that will stand out from the flashy herd of Ferrporschinis.
Inspired by Mr. Maximillion Cooper who showed up in the original Batmobile from the 1960 TV series in other Gumball Rallies, team Galag decided to have their own competing this year. However, theirs is a bit more updated...
It is a perfect replica of the Tumbler Batmobile, last seen in The Dark Knight movie, to be more specific. It’s built on a custom-made spaceframe and it is wider than a truck. Its 2.5 tons are propelled on the huge wheels by a 400 bhp 6.2-liter V8 and it will reach a maximum speed of 100 mph (161 km/h). Probably it won’t arrive first anywhere, but who cares? It looks awesome!
