We know everyone is just itching to get out of town. But with the way things are looking, we’re going to have to wait a bit longer. Yet, have no fear, we will be able to hit the open road again.
When we’re open to traveling again, or just plain escaping of social responsibilities, the Basecamp 2 will be there to make sure you have everything you need to be able to go where you want to go, and do what you want with whoever you want to do it with.

The team that pushes out this wonderful camper trailer/caravan is known as Swift. If you haven’t heard of them, welcome to the club. We too were surprised to see that even the Brits (United Kingdom) have a sense of adventure. And even better, they’re thrifty too. Thrifty because this camper currently starts at $25,833 (19,095 British Pounds at the time of writing this article).

However, don’t start getting any weird ideas about how that kind of money can’t get you what you want, because it can. Listen, before you continue this text, have a look in the gallery. You probably won’t need the text after. If you do, then please, do continue reading.

Just to start things off, we can have a look at the exterior of the caravan. The entire trailer is setup on just two wheels and a hitch, so you probably be doing much off-roading with it. But, if you’re crazy enough, you can probably take it out on a trail or two. I just don’t know if that will invalidate your warranty.

Nonetheless, wherever you end up traveling to, a massive forward-facing window helps offer wonderful visibility. Most other campers of this sort don’t have this option, and now that I've been exposed to it, it’s all I want. Four more East-West windows are placed along the sides of shell to offer even more visibility and make use of natural light.

To take the long-awaited trip inside we use the door that sits at the rear of the trailer. Once inside, you don’t have to worry about any head room as the roof allows for 6.5 ft (1.95 m) of headroom. To the right we are given access to the bathroom which includes a sink, shower, and toilet. Nothing fancy, just everything you need to get the job done.

As for the kitchen, we find this to our left. Now, if you haven’t had a look at the gallery yet, please do so, it’s friggin nice. A three-burner grill with stainless-steel sink and full-size faucet make this feel like my own countertop at home. Obviously, a fridge is also available, and the team probably does have an option for a freezer too. Why do I say probably? Well, I investigated configuring my own Basecamp 2, and as I was doing so, I literally got lost in all the options this thing can include, and never got around to the freezer bit. But it does include an oven and even a grill.

As for the final main component of any camper, the bedroom is a modular one. Situated at the front of the camper under that large window I mentioned earlier, we have the possibility to include two single beds, or merge them to complete one large double bed.

Now, it is that time of the year, and my family is waiting on me to finish this piece of informational text, but because I was forced to cut things short, click here to have a look for yourself. Now, remember, don’t get lost in the options, you might end up being there for a while.
