Barrichello Will Debut FW32 at Valencia

Williams F1 Team will debut their 2010 challenger next Monday, on Valencia's Ricardo Tormo Circuit. The team announced it for quite some time, as a spokesman for the British organization revealed the car launch will not even take place during an organized media event. Practically, the first time one will get to see the FW32 this year will be on track, rather than during a photo shoot.

Consequently, the team also had to announce the driver who'll debut their new car on the Spanish venue. While a confirmation is yet to be issued by the team (on this matter), Brazil's Globo quoted Rubens Barrichello as saying that he will be the one to step behind the wheel of the FW32 first.

I arrive in Spain on Saturday. I cannot wait to drive the new car. I think Valencia will give some evidence about what will happen in Bahrain, but this winter it will be even harder to tell (the pecking order) because of the larger fuel tanks,” said the Brazilian veteran, according to the aforementioned source.

The move was quite obvious to begin with, as Barrichello is clearly the experienced driver in Williams' lineup for the 2010 season. The Brazilian racer is currently holding the record for the most grand prix contested in the series, and will partner rookie driver Nico Hulkenberg next season.

However, the team is yet to announce – as we're sure they have already taken a decision in this direction – the order in which the two drivers will take the new car to the track next week, during the 3 days of Valencia testing. Most likely, Barrichello will have 2 days to test drive the FW32 – useful input from the 37-year old will be important for the team's engineers – while Nico will be allocated only one day.
