Barrichello Takes Back Brawn Criticism

Rubens Barrichello took the night off and meditated on his inexcusable attack on his very own team following last weekend's German Grand Prix, admitting that there was no chance he could have challenged the two Red Bulls for the win at the Nurburgring. Although not via an official press release, the Brazilian revised his position towards the Brawn GP on his personal twitter feed.

However, the F1 veteran did not fully let go of his claims, insisting that a podium finish would still have been at hand hadn't it been for his longer-than-expected second pit stop. Coming for refuel and a new set of tires for the second time on Sunday, a problem with the fuel rig kept Barrichello for an extra 4 seconds in the pits, causing him to lose out big time to Red Bull's Mark Webber.

I was very upset yesterday but I am over it. I would not have won the race as the Red Bulls were half a second faster per lap, but third was very possible without the pit problems,” wrote Barrichello.

I will fight [while] I have chances for the championship. I promise. It was a tough day yesterday but I am over it now,” the F1 veteran assured his fans.

His comments come only one day after he refused to take back his furious attack on Ross Brawn and his team at the end of the Nurburgring race. On Sunday, he made it very clear that he doesn't want to speak to anybody from his team, as “it will be all 'bla bla bla' and I don't want to hear that.

Also, he said the team gave a true performance on how it can make its own driver lose a race, despite him doing all the right things on Sunday.
