Barrichello Criticizes Brazilian Media after Malaysian GP

Formula One veteran Rubens Barrichello brought some further clarifications to his post-race comments on Sunday, when he described his team's single-seater (as well as the challengers developed by the newly entered teams) as being “crap.” The Williams driver launched an intense critic of his homeland media, who initially disclosed that information for the public.

After the race I joked during a press conference with di Grassi that we needed to greatly improve our 'porcarias' to catch up with the new championship leader and our friend Massinha,” said Barrichello on Monday.

It was totally (in) fun and everyone who was there felt it in exactly the same way. But some others said I had spoken badly of my team. While people in his country (India) look on the bright side and applaud Karun Chandhok for finishing 15th, some Brazilians insist on looking at things the other way,” added the 37-year old veteran.

After leaving from 7th place on the grid, Barrichello had to settle for a poor 12th place at the finish line, while his teammate Nico Hulkenberg scored his first point in the series. What was worse for the Brazilian driver was that he was the only driver, except for the ones driving for the new teams, that finished the Malaysian GP at least one lap down.

Lucas di Grassi recorded his and his team's first ever F1 finish, while both HRT F1 drivers Karun Chandhok and Bruno Senna crossed the chequered flag some 3 laps down to the leading pack. Jarno Trulli completed the active drivers' field in 17th place, 4 laps down to winner Sebastian Vettel.
