Baojun 360 Sedan Storming China

Having had its world premiere in Shanghai back in April, the first sedan spawned by GM’s new Chinese brand has just started its national launch tour in Chengdu, the American auto giant announced today.Baojun is one of four brands being offered by GM’s joint venture partnerships with SAIC in China, joining Buick, Chevrolet and Cadillac.

The Baojun 630 sedan will be shown at more than 120 Baojun 4S retailers, while also visiting the cities of Zhengzhou, Nanning, Jinan, Changsha, Shijiazhuang, Nanjing and Harbin. Three variants of the Baojun 630 are being offered at a retail price of between RMB 62,800 and RMB 73,800.

The car comes with signature elements of the brand’s DNA, such as a "dual-wing" design of the front face, and “hawk-eye” taillamps. Inside, the Baojun 630 comes with a choice of brown rice or light gray colors, and more than 22 storage spaces for enhanced practicality.

Under the hood, Chinese customers who buy the car will get a high-performance 1.5-liter P-TEC engine along with a five-speed transmission. The engine generates maximum power of 81 kW/5,800 rpm and maximum torque of 146 Nm/4,200 rpm. Its fuel consumption of 6.9 liters per 100 kilometers is ahead of other models in its segment. The Baojun 630 meets all local emission standards as well as the advanced Euro IV standard.
