To make it plain and simple: there is too much 2013 Yamaha YZF-R1 in the new Bajaj Pulsar 375 recently unveiled by Autocar India.
While this is not necessarily a bad thing itself, we were expecting something more original from Bajaj's flagship sportsbike... really. Especially since the Pulsar 375 represents one of the first steps Bajaj takes in the realm of bigger displacement bikes, an original design would have been simply glorious, but it looks like we are going to have to wait for it some more.

The Bajaj Pulsar 375 shares the KTM 390 Duke power unit, but will receive a sport tune-up for better compliance with higher rpm, and possibly a revised gearbox. As for the rest, we might expect standard ABS, just like its orange cousin has, and pretty much all the nifty tech feats on the KTM.

Once more, the bike looks nifty and with a 45 HP power rating, it could fare quite well against the Ninja 300 and similar machines. But still Bajaj... would you pretty please show some original designs?
