Since we’re in the year Marty McFly was traveling through time with Doc’s DeLorean machine to save the day, there’s a lot of things connected to the famous franchise that we’ll be stumbling upon. After writing about a DMC iPhone case and then a Museum willing to offer one of the movie’s replica to a contest winner in a drawing this fall, a LEGO fan recently recreated the famous tower scene in a 5-minutes clip.
In the film, Marty finally gets his parents to kiss for the first time and hurries up to meet Doc at the clock tower. I can still remember getting the shivers watching the movie as the two faced several problems before finally getting to make the time machine work and travel through time. At first the car’s engine wouldn’t ignite and later a fallen branch suddenly disconnects the massive wire Doc has run from the clock tower to the street.

Marty races the DeLorean at 88 mph toward the clock tower, Doc climbs across the face of the clock to reconnect the cable. The lighting strikes as planned, and Marty is sent back to 1985 ten minutes before he left it. Macro Lego Universe has recently uploaded the entire scene recreated with LEGO bricks and it seems to be quite accurate if you ask us.

If we were to take a chance at being the perfect fanboy, we’d first buy a Back To The Future II DeLorean Time Machine iPhone case, then visit the Illinois-based Volo Auto Museum just to make sure we participate at the contest. And to complete the whole thing, we’d call LEGO and ask them to design an official DeLorean Time Machine set so people can enjoy this true collectable.
