BAC Mono Video Released

We are always delighted when we can offer you pieces of news related to track toys and the present occasion is no exception to the rule. So, with a big smile on our faces (Joker would never catch us in a serious mood anyway, but today we’re even “higher” than usual), we’ll get to the point: we are offering you a video showing the BAC Mono at Ferrari Nottingham.

Yes, we know, we’re still waiting for a footage that shows the feather-light beast in action, but until we get our eye candy, we’ll have to make due with this.

As you probably know by now, the BAC Mono’s list of specification is an explosion that throws most brains into a state of dreaming. We are talking about a Cosworth-powered vehicle that brings 512 hp per tonne to the game. This value translates into straight line performance data such as a 0 to 60 mph time of 2.8 seconds, a 0 to 100 mph (161 km/h) time of 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 170 mph (274 km/h). Of course, the vehicle also comes with delicious handling.

Here’s how its creators describe it: “Above all else Mono has been designed to optimise the driving position – in the middle, central to the wheels, and the balance of the car. Mono is constructed using high-strength carbon fibre composite around a steel safety cell. The cell is designed to offer maximum safety featuring a FIA compliant steel rollover structure, a sophisticated side impact structure and a front carbon crashbox.
