Baby Bronco Rendering Is a Successful Ford-Land Rover Mashup
Ford cut the Focus and other normal cars from the roster and plans to replace them with crossovers. This is one of the most exciting ones, the so-called 'baby Bronco,' which has been spied numerous times during its development.
The model is rumored under many different names, including the Adventurer. But the point is that it's built like a CUV yet plans to offer much more versatility and off-road prowess. The Jeep Renegade and Wrangler are the obvious targets here, though there are others.

During its early development, the little Bronco was a test mule made up of a bunch of different body parts. But since its development is now in a more advanced state, we can speculate on its design.

The prototypes now look boxy and rugged, with a protruding chin at the front. It's almost like a return of the classic Japanese 4x4 style. Think Suzuki Samurai!

What would that look like, but with Ford badges on it? Glad you asked, imaginary conversationalist. Here's a rendering that combines the Raptor face with the Land Rover Discovery, which is sufficiently box. This can't possibly be accurate, but Kleber Silva is at least giving us a hint of what's to come.

It's expected that the little bucking horse will share many components with the Escape, including the platform and the engines. We're talking about the C2 architecture and a base 1.5-liter turbo making around 180 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque.

This base version should come in at about $23,000, putting it up against a 2.5-liter Jeep Renegade. On top of that, Ford should offer the 250 horsepower 2-liter, potentially wearing hot badges. And just to keep things clean, the hybrid or PHEV systems developed for the new Escape should carry over.

Expect a full reveal early next year in Detroit or New York. And by the way, this rugged rascal isn't coming to Europe.
