Whenever we think of baby blue, a certain mental image pops up. Four slightly chubby women are discussing whether to buy bride's maids dresses in pale pink of blue.
However, when you mention cars are involved, things are a little different. We think of the Porsche 911, of the Lexus LFA and especially of the Lamborghini Murcielago.
Before the Arab royals bought a purple Aventador, they used to parade around London in a smurf-ish Murcielago LP670-4 SV. It was sold in 2013, but this Aventador reminds us of it.
The owner of this Italian exotic decided that it was time for a refresh, after owning the Aventador for a few years. With the wheels previously upgraded to the PUR RS05, he decided the body needed some attention.
The first thing he did was to source the kit for the LP720-4. That version of the car was launched in 2013 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the brand. The only problem is they only made 50 of those, and they're all freaking expensive.
This body kit was thus a very good idea. It includes a bolt-on accent piece for the front bumper. This flows from corner to corner, leaving a lasting impression on the face of the bull. Also required for this transformation is a new rear bumper with a black diffuser and extra vents that let us peek at the 6.5-liter marvel at the back.
Mind you, this is an Aventador Roadster, so it has some other distinctive features, such as the cool engine deck with multiple plates of glass and that two-piece removable roof.
A brand new vinyl wrap makes the supercar look sparking new all over. It consists of a baby blue base coat over which some graphics were laid out. A few orange and black stripes combined with corporate logos complete the makeover.
As much as we love the LP700-LP720 transformation, we're still extremely impressed with the PUR RS05 wheels. They don't look like alloys; they look like five robot arms holding the rubber in place.
