Baby Blue C7 Looks Ready to Snatch Fugliest Widebody Chevrolet Corvette Title

Throughout eight generations, Chevrolet’s Corvette has proved it’s like a mechanical canvas for custom vehicle artists to showcase their imagination. As such, no wonder there are countless works of art out there along with an equal number of botched attempts. Unfortunately, today we’ll be sharing an example of the latter category!

Sure, we have seen our fair share of outrageous builds, let's call them that. In the decidedly incredible world of Corvette modifications, there’s always room for just about anything, from teal-painted C8s riding on matching Forgiatos to half-naked “Skeleton” examples running around in search of tacos.

We actually feel that anyone should be allowed to express their passion for any car, not just the Corvette, as long as it doesn’t cause harm to others or the driver itself.

However, we have hugely mixed feelings about this C7 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. On the one hand, we can’t help but put a smile on our faces (it’s a polite way of saying we’re LOLing under the desk, actually) when seeing this.

On the other hand, we feel genuinely concerned about the possible state of health of the owner; perhaps he’s suffering from a (very serious) eye condition of some sort, and others took advantage of this when they delivered the result of the widebody tuning project.

Of course, this could actually be a DIY-style project, at which point we have no idea if the friends and family of this wannabe home-schooled tuning mechanic shouldn’t have organized an intervention of sorts. As you can see, the result is... pretty much horrendous.

After we spent a lot of time reading the comments on the reddit thread that originally shared this gem of an Internet find, we found out how the C7 Corvette Z06 should have looked if everything went well and miracles actually existed.

We can only say that Duraflex’sChevrolet Corvette C7 Gran Veloce Series Body Kit” is never going to be on our top ten (thousand) list of widebody kits for America’s Sports Car, along with the fact that this finished example didn’t even manage to nail the looks of the company’s showroom unit.
