B7 Concept Electric Race Car to Reach 500 km/h

Electric vehicles are expected to have a faster evolution than expected. We say that because of the fast pace that manufacturers are adopting and also the concepts that are being dreamed at in a similar pace. One of these cutting edge concepts is the B7 electric super race car envisioned by Filip Tejszerski, a concept which will take the the hybrid car segment to higher appreciation levels.

Furthermore the electric B7 Le Mans will challenge the speeds that the engines of the eco-friendly cars are known to develop. The EV concept is inspired by the silhouettes of the most high performance aircraft developed by man and features futuristic drive train technology which was envisioned to deliver optimum handling, performance and speed. The electric super sportscar was dreamed up to exceed speeds higher than 500 kilometers per hour (310 mph).

The concepts features emerging power technologies like super capacitors which can discharge and store electricity much more efficiently than the traditional batteries. The interesting feature of the super capacitors is that there can be discharged at a higher amount of electricity which acts like a power boost for the vehicle for a limited period of time. The super capacitors are designed to be charged by a natural gas-powered V8 engine that would act like a generator. Also, each wheel would be driven by a hub motor which will be connected to the SCC (Speed and Control Computer) and the capacitors which will provide the vehicle the drive and braking functions.The cockpit would allow the driver to control the vehicle from a centered space with the option of keeping the cockpit half opened for slower speeds.
