Watchmakers designed new models in his honor, streets are named after him, heck the motorsport itself is safer today because of his efforts. Considered by some the greatest motor racing drive of all time, Ayrton Senna was also one of the richest of his time. Winning three Formula One world championships sure was reflected in his lifestyle, even though it was later discovered he silently had been donating millions for charity.
Nevertheless, gorgeous mansions and some of the greatest cars were left behind when the iconic F1 champ was killed in an accident while leading the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. One of these belongings is a 6-bedroom luxury villa in Quinta do Lago, a golf resort and residential estate located to the west of Faro Airport in the Algarve region of Portugal. The beautiful mansion has been on sale for quite a while now, but since we’ve recently stumbled upon it we figured taking a closer look would be worth it.

The classical styled property has been completely refurbished “to the highest of modern standards" and is set across a double plot, encompassing 10,500 square meters of landscaped mature gardens.

A 900-square meter mansion, made of six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, the eccentric residence is light and bright. The living area opens on to the pool through sliding doors, while a luxurious natural, an exquisite master bedroom suite, which comes with a separate dressing room, is found on the ground floor.

Since it’s so big, the sweeping garden is what probably stands out the most. Surrounded by woodland at the rear of the property, it features an international standard, flood-lit tennis court/soccer pitch, children’s climbing frame, inset trampoline, a four hole putting green and a large swimming pool, which is heated by solar panels.

Priced at £6,771,600 ($10,196,336) the house has been on sale since 2013, but it appears there’s not a lot of interest around it.
