Here's a piece of nice in-house DIY engineering which can help a lot of guys out there looking for the best ergonomics for their electric motorcycle projects.
This battery box design belongs to "mcf12" on the ElMoto forum and not only does it solve a rather complex problem, but also comes with very cool looks. Now, it's true that the functionality of this specific design has its limits, drawn by the battery type you're willing to use.
Nevertheless, since even the DIY electric motorcycles are going to go for style in the end, being able to load a good-looking battery pack on your ride will really be important. And honestly, the square, bulky batteries we all see in today's build look horrible, let alone the fact that they come with even more limited bodywork options, if you're looking for some fairings.
Despite the fact that summing together more batteries can be at first a painstaking job, the final result is well worth the effort: it's incredibly compact, nicely trimmed to the angle of the chassis and has a clean shape that allows for other aesthetic innovations.
We like this guy's battery pack design quite a lot, so that's why we though of making his work public. We cannot wait to see his Suzuki Boulevard S40 finished and turned all-electric: we can vouch it will look awesome!
