AWD Remote Control Electric Trike Is Yet Another Cool Christmas Gift

Electric drift trikes are definitely fun, especially for those who refuse to grow up. We've seen proper trikes in action, powered either by gasoline-burning engines and electric motors, and we vouch for them: these vehicles ARE as cool as they get.

If you live in a region where the winter time is not exactly friendly for riding but you feel like you could enjoy a good dose of drifting, the trike in the video after the jump may be the ultimate Christmas gift.

While trikes usually employ rear-wheel-drive, this sweet toy comes with all-wheel-drive, and this makes everything much better, adding to the maneuverability of the toy and the overall fun factor.

There is something post-apocalyptic about this toy, most likely because of its rider and the rat-ish design of the bike. Still, the technology used in this trike belongs to the present days, and makes drifting like a mad man entirely possible.

We haven't been able to find out too much about this electric drift trike, so we can't say if it needs a special controller or a smartphone. Given how advanced RC controllers are today, building a smartphone/tablet app that puts you completely in charge of the drift antics sounds like a very handy solution.

Likewise, there is no telling as to whether this is a one-off contraption or a toy produced on a larger scale. It doesn't look particularly difficult to build, though, so we can hope that whoever made this is smart enough to head over to a website like Indiegogo or Kickstarter and raise some money to secure enough funds for a heftier production run. This kind of project could become a goldmine in no time if it gets viral.

Maybe it's too late for this Christmas, but sometimes, the best presents are not necessarily linked to a holiday.
