After doing an average 325 shows per year for six years, Swedish DJ Avicii decided to take nine months off. Now, the artist went full gear releasing a great remake of Nina Simone’s Feeling Good legendary hit. He also partnered up with Volvo as the brand's international Ambassador.
Volvo is pushing the pedal to the metal these days. We are living the days when you have to play all your best cards in order to survive; it’s a must car makers have to go through. The company just announced they’re about to open their first US Factory in South Carolina, with the production starting in 2018. It’s a major $500 million investment plan that apparently will employ around 2,000 people and produce about 100,000 vehicles per year initially.

Opening new factories, designing new models, innovating, all these are not enough if you don’t add a bit of marketing to it. Automakers know that, Volvo knows it too. So they had Sweden-born, and one of the world’s most famous DJs join the team to make things happen. The song you’re about to listen was initially picked as a proposal by Volvo Cars, according to the company. The arrangement was then produced by Avicii, with Audra Mae doing the vocals.

The Swedish auto manufacturer claims the company is reinventing itself, as the artist does with his career, therefore, the collaboration. The release of the video also features their new XC90 SUV and is supposed to reflect a new direction for the Sweeds.

Sweden is an important place to me; it’s where I gather my strength and energy with family and friends. This whole process of re-evaluation and renewal is what Volvo encouraged me to visualise in the video. I think we did an excellent job together,” said Avicii in a statement.
